Today, I asked, God, what do You want me to focus on? How do You want me to focus on You today and in the new year?

1. Listen… Listen and hear my voice, pay attention and hear what I say. Isaiah 28:23
2. Pray… Pray continually… I Thessalonians 5:17
3. Wait… But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount upon wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
4. Be still… Be still and know that I am God…Psalm 40:31
5. Be open to His guidance… I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my light upon you. Psalm 32:8
6. Open my heart… Jesus answered, I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
7. Obey… Teach me to do your will, for you are my God, may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. Psalm 143:10 Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105
8. Rejoice… Rejoice in the Lord always. Philippians 4:4
9. Scripture for the year… Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brother, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practices. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:4-9
10. Word for this year – thankful… I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart. I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2
11. Remember… For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:36
12. Share God’s love… Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, “Here am I, Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
